I am an advocate for women in construction and STEM subjects. I work alongside STEM businesses, schools, and companies to inspire girls to be whatever they want, not boxed in or pigeonholed by stereotypes.
I am a STEM ambassador and go into schools to give talks and help with CV & interviewing skills.
As a long-life member of Girlguiding and their go-to volunteer for safety advice.

Head of SHEQ & Training	02.2022 - 03.2024	Reporting to the Managing Director I lead, coach and mentor a team of eleven managers, advisors, and a training team, nationally, to ensure MES ET has the highest possible standard in safety, occupational health, environmental and assurance responsibility and that these are effectively implemented. Working with the leadership team and operations I define and deliver the SHEQ strategy. Sitting on the SLT I report on SHEQ performance and manage the reporting and review of all accidents/incidents and audits as well as collaborating with the individual operational teams to ensure continuous improvement via audit & inspection. Collaborating with our client National Grid I ensure MES ET successes and learning are shared with other tier-one contractors. Successes Implementation of an electronic safety observation system which compliments the lagging and leading reporting to the SLT. Instrumental in the implementation of the SHEQ SharePoint sites and business management system which allows operations to monitor safety metrics such as incident statistics and inspections. Shares best practices and celebrates good news stories. Successes Lead SHEA manager who successfully won and mobilised, both during the COVID pandemic, the 2020 City Fibre and the 2021 Openreach (ONSA) fibre city framework in five cities across the Southwest, both multi-million-pound contracts which involved installing and maintaining fibre and copper network across the cities for an initial five-year period. Kier Utilities & Rail - Regional SHEA Manager – Water North (Apr 2017 to May 2020) Reporting to the Contracts Director I led, coached, and mentored a team of seven advisors, nationally, to ensure Water North had the highest possible standard in safety, occupational health, environmental and assurance responsibility and that these were effectively implemented. Successes 2019 Lead SHEA manager who successfully won a place on two lots of £2bn Severn Trent Water framework, major civils and MEICA. 2019 Lead SHEA Manager who successfully won and mobilised the AMP7 Complex Civils Framework for Yorkshire Water, a £750m framework which will see us undertake engineering, construction and refurbishment works.
