Currently, I am a Certified and Chartered Safety Professional .
I technically and professionally supervise and support contractors and all stakeholders including GEC and PMC, CLIENT to:
• Ensuring that the SH&E management strategies, systems and procedures are current and embedded throughout the Project, through his leadership and direction of Health, Safety and Security to Project teams;
• Developing the SH&E policies and systems that ensure the Project is delivered in a healthy, safe and secure environment;
• Using a schedule / Program of inspections and audits for systematically monitoring our teams’ SH&E performance and that of our Contractor;
• Reviewing accident / incident reports, collating incident statistics, vetting Risk Assessments, checking Emergency Response Plans and attending drills as well as establishing new procedures and training modules;
• Attending safety induction sessions to liaise with staff at all levels;
• Ensuring that Risk Assessments and Method Statements are reviewed and signed off before work activities may commence and before work permits are issued;
• Monitoring the performance of Safety Engineers / Inspectors on the project, mentoring them where areas of improvement are considered necessary;
• Advising Project team members, on deficiencies found in the implementation of the SH&E management systems;
• Attending and participating in Project SH&E Committee meetings;
• Participating in site safety tours and audits to assist in the overall measurement of compliance with the SH&E systems and procedures;
• Attending AECOM Management meetings (sitting in SH&E mode) to provide advice to members.
• Following up on close out of assigned actions from the above meetings; and
• Collating and reporting to AECOM Management meetings on progress against KPIs set by PWA.
