Andrew originally moved from being an insurance professional to working as the Health and Safety officer for the Willis group in 1999. Since then he has worked for companies of all sizes both as an external consultant and as part of an in-house Health and Safety team to ensure the businesses he works for meet Health and Safety requirements, reduce accidents and ensure the smooth running of the company. Andrew really understands not only the importance of Health and Safety, both short and long term, but having worked in industry and not just as a consultant, also about the need to make sure whatever solution is put in place is operationally practical. This will ensure any control measures are adhered to and also that the business can continue to operate and doesn't become too tied up in red tape. Andrew has worked on some of the UK's most prestigious building projects , including The Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford upon Avon, Bury St Edmunds Cathedral Vaulted Ceiling, The Olympic Park and some of the most prestigious residential and commercial properties in London. He is however also very at home working with small companies to ensure that he works as part of the team to meet the highest possible standards and has since significant experience both within and outside the construction industry.
