I have been involved in health and safety management and consultancy for over 18 years and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) for over 12 years. In this time achieving qualifications to assist with my development as a H&S Practitioner.  For example; NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (with Credit); NEBOSH National Diploma in Environmental Management (with Distinction); NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management (with Distinction); NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health and Safety (with Credit); etc.  I am also an Associate Member of the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers; Practitioner Member for the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment; Level 6 Graduateship City & Guilds Institute for Leadership and Management. 

My exposure to the world of H&S management started in the armed forces as a Company Quartermaster Sergeant CQMS, where I was responsible for the management of contractors, buildings, weapons, stores, equipment, asbestos in buildings, and many other health and safety related experience.

I left the army in 2011 and entered the world of corporate health and safety management working as an Associate Director for a H&S consultancy in London.  

For the last 11+ years I have been working at South West Norse (previously NPS South West) as the Associate Director of Safety & Risk Management. South West Norse are an occupational health and safety consultancy practice providing a huge number of CDM and Compliance Management Services. SWN Ltd's provided services include Total Facilities Management, Design Services, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, etc.  SWN Ltd are currently in a Joint Venture Partnership with Devon County Council and are owned by Norfolk Council.
