Overview
I have been involved in health and safety management and consultancy for over 18 years and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) for over 12 years. In this time achieving qualifications to assist with my development as a H&S Practitioner. For example; NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (with Credit); NEBOSH National Diploma in Environmental Management (with Distinction); NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management (with Distinction); NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health and Safety (with Credit); etc. I am also an Associate Member of the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers; Practitioner Member for the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment; Level 6 Graduateship City & Guilds Institute for Leadership and Management.
My exposure to the world of H&S management started in the armed forces as a Company Quartermaster Sergeant CQMS, where I was responsible for the management of contractors, buildings, weapons, stores, equipment, asbestos in buildings, and many other health and safety related experience. I left the army in 2011 and entered the world of corporate health and safety management working as an Associate Director for a H&S consultancy in London. For the last 12+ years I had been working at South West Norse (previously NPS South West) as the Associate Director of Safety & Risk Management. South West Norse are an occupational health and safety consultancy practice providing a huge number of CDM and Compliance Management Services. SWN Ltd's provided services include Total Facilities Management, Design Services, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, etc. SWN Ltd were in a Joint Venture Partnership with Devon County Council and are owned by Norfolk Council. The team I manage within South West Norse provided impartial and practical advice on a strategic level on health and safety in a wide range of settings including Local authority clients, Education, Office, Commercial and Manufacturing Operations within SME or large organisations. This included behaving as Principal Designers, CDMA, Life Critical Fire Risk Assessors (including compartmentation surveying), Legionella Management, among other services listed below:

Since January 2025 I moved job to EHS Projects Ltd, a professional environment, health and safety consultancy. I am working as the Safety Officer for Project Baldur Taw Valley Foods in North Tawton, during the building of a new Mozzarella Factory with associated changes to the existing factory.
