Training Requirements needs Assessment
-
Following instruction from Interceil we started dedicating our time to the development of their Health & Safety policies and procedures, while creating a personalised training plan to allow the company to be instantly recognisable as the highest trained in their region, working closely to ensure all staff were trained and briefed about all the QSHE documentation so that they could begin to implement the policies and procedures in their daily work.
This training plan was to include but not limited to :
• Delivery of NVQ Levels 2 & 3 for all their staff ahead of the main industry competitors in 2003
• Manual Handling / Asbestos Awareness / Safe Working at Height / Abrasive Wheels
• CITB 1-day Director Role
• CITB 5-day Site Managers Safety Training Scheme & 2-day Refresher
• CITB 2-day Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme & 1 day Refresher
• CITB 1-day Health & Safety Awareness
The training and health and safety consultancy is ongoing and will continue to be updated and presented to new and existing employees of all seniority. The programme that we have implemented has given the company an experienced management team, diligent, conscientious and highly skilled and trained labour force.

Infrastructure Site Services
-
Infrastructure Site Services contacted us to build their accreditations of ISO9001 / 14001 & 45001, with the goal of obtaining larger clients. Infrastructure needed more robust credentials to obtain work in supplementary industry sectors including the Railway sector, Northumberland County Council, and the public sector. Following instruction from Infrastructure Site Services, we started dedicating our time to the development of their Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental policies, while creating a personalised action plan of how these changes were to be made and how we could help the business to develop their accreditations to the highest standard.

Kingston Property Services
-
We were tasked with implementing the updated fire risk assessments which then were tailored for the Property Managers so that they could have ease of use. Following that, we assisted with the current Health & Safety procedures with prime contractors and supported the business with their own process development, risk assessments and on-site checks.
One of the key challenges we faced was being the new company to work with, as the Property Managers weren’t particularly keen to engage with us and weren’t interested in asking questions to learn the information needed around the fire risk assessments.
We introduced face-to-face meetings, 3 to 4 times per year, with the Property Managers and with Assistant Director Sarah Dudgeon so that the Property Managers were fully aware as to what they could use our services for, which over time opened the communication lines between both parties which in turn was then fed back to the Scheme Directors with less errors and confusion.

ISO Systems works
-
P. F. Burridge & Sons work included undertaking reactive maintenance for several housing associations, installing boilers, boiler maintenances for energy suppliers and undertaking building projects for companies like Newcastle University and some new build housing. They employed over 150 members of staff across the two branches. The Health & Safety member of staff left the company, and Burridge needed to replace the role/ manage the workload. Carney Consultancy had been recommended previously to the company director to fulfil this role, and after an initial meeting, we started working directly with them for 2-3 days a week on a commission basis and then received an annual budget to complete the work. After some time, we came to a decision to have 6 consultants on commission from Carney Consultancy to replace this role instead of having a full-time member of staff.
