Brian Houghton, Managing Director of Houghton Safety Services Ltd, worked in the UK chemical manufacturing industry for sixteen years. He was awarded a first class honours degree in Applied Chemistry in 1989. He was the Health, Safety and Environment Advisor to a major Agrochemicals manufacturer before establishing Houghton Safety Services in 2000. Working as a Health and Safety Consultant, Brian has gained great experience involving a wide variety of disciplines, including H&S Policies, H&S Reviews, Risk Assessment, COSHH Assessments, MSDSs, DSE Assessment, Expectant Mothers, Accident Investigation, Workplace Monitoring and Stress Management. He delivers a wide range of H&S Training. Brian is a Chartered Chemist and Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH). He holds professional qualifications in Occupational Safety and Health, and Environmental Protection including the NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (Parts 1 & 2). He holds the PTLLS Level 4 Teaching qualification.
