As an Accredited Chartered IOSH consultant working with the HSE Partnership Teams in construction and quarrying, representing the Institute of Quarrying at the Cabinet office's initiative to reduce red tape in industry bound up by it I have successfully developed an industry leading approach to health and safety delivery.

I am Presenter and facilitator of The Interesting Health & Safety Podcast.  A medium that allows me to engage with business leaders, H & S professionals and site personnel to raise H & S awareness.

I have extensive experience in construction having run a building contract business and I Chair the Construction Dust Partnership that is leading the development of programmes to raise the awareness of the health effects of dust in the workplace.

Tutoring with Strathclyde University delivering the Post Graduate Certificate in Safety and Risk Management.

I am also an active participant of the IOSH mentoring scheme as both a mentor and mentee.
