Health, Safety & Environment Director – FMCG clients

Role geographic coverage- UK based as part of a global leadership team with responsibility for global FMCG client operations across 30 Countries spanning EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin America. 110 manufacturing, R&D and corporate office locations. 2 direct and 6 indirect reporting team members.

Strategic function

Developed and coordinated strategic HSE improvement program across global operating sites

Developed a strong partnership with global client H&S, direct partnering with European & Global SHE Directors and Country SHE leads. Collaboration on joint H&S improvements including strategic programmes & Management Indicator reporting.

Acting as central point of contact for Global H&S to include objectives, metrics and account representation within the group business including representative member at periodic Global H&S meetings & forums.

Developed and delivered H&S compliance monitoring programmes that include engagement, team relationship and core compliance indicators linked to client outputs..

Lead on Account H&S communications including regional H&S team forum & Global Strategic Accounts representation sharing new & best practice.

Lead on Health (Wellness/Mental Health) programme and support initiatives to create greater awareness and improvement within the global team. Mental Health First Aid, Line Manager MH awareness training package.

Built and coordinated a strong cross region H&S community coordinating  Country HSE Professionals and leading on central initiatives, best practice sharing and peer/subordinate coaching and support.

Program and Initiative Achievements

Ø  Developed a management safety engagement programme scaled across a 423,000 employee business

Ø  Master Trainer supporting delivery of a safely leadership mindset training to over 47,000 people managers

Ø  Led a team to reach finalist in global business safety awards recognising safety improvement in collaboration with a top tier household name manufacturing client
