As a Health and Safety Inspector for HSE, I work as part of a regional team working across a range of industries to improve health and safety performance and prevent incidents. This involved analysing management systems, reviewing where companies currently are and working with them to ensure they achieve legal compliance. I also provided advice on how they can improve their systems and develop a positive safety culture. 

I have experience working across a range of sectors including public services, manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, automotive engineering, waste, plastics, rubber and food as well as logistics and the construction industry. Within the construction industry I have experience of commercial and domestic new build and refurbishment; working with clients, designers and contractors to ensure that projects are safely managed.

I have investigated a wide range of accidents and dangerous occurrences; gathering and analysing evidence to prepare investigation reports with clear recommendations. Assessing technical measures and working practices to identify the immediate and underlying (root) causes. Undertaking gap analysis to benchmark against legal and industry standards to identify where any remedial action is required and how to prevent reoccurrences. 

As a  Senior Health and Safety Consultant I provide advice and guidance on complying with Health and Safety legislation and ensuring that a robust health and safety management system is in place.
