I have recently retired from over 24 years as Safety Adviser with a large Local Authority, following over 20 years in management as a qualified mining engineer in UK and Canada

I have experience of manageing risk over a extensive spectrum ranging from waste collection,grounds maintenance,leisure,adult social care,childrens services and schools and my previous management experience puts me in a position to give advice and guidance on all levels.

I have always considered my role as one of identifying risks,"putting them on the table" for persons to understand and appreciate the concequences of taking those risks.I always try to suggest a way forward and suggest suitable solutions to problems rather than just identifying them.

Without power of enforcement I consider that I have successfully used my transferable management skills to guide and advice on the correct path to take.
