Overview
Providing competent fire, health and safety assistance and advice to clients from a wide range of industries. Clients range from low risk retailing and office accommodation to high risk social care, construction, manufacturing and engineering sectors. This includes the development of fire safety policy, conducting of fire risk assessments, premises fire safety inspections, the writing and audit of health and safety management systems, detailed risk assessments, and associated documentation as required.
Provision of ongoing help and support directly to a client to enable them to manage every day issues, in the implementation of safety controls and accident / near miss investigations. I also support my clients during visits from enforcement authorities, e.g. fire service and during insurance liability surveys.
Provision of ad-hoc training to clients, their employees and also delivery of IOSH Managing Safety courses.

Operational Fire Officer | 10.1987 - 11.2014 | 24 years of experience as an operational fire officer implementing risk controls in dynamic and static operational environements. I was an Operational Assurance Officer / Health and Safety officer for the last 7 years undertaking dynamic and systemic audits of operational performance to identify good practice that could be disseminated through the organisation as well as identifying opportunities for improvement at sytemic and operational levels. I also created HSMS, risk control sytems and undertook top level accident investigation |
