Mr john walker
Overview
I have gained knowledge and experience working within various industries leading to being the Chief H&S Consultant to a billion pound organisation. I have provided compliance understanding to senior and middle management and always approach Health and Safety as a pro-active problem-solving award winning supportive Practitioner and Consultant. I apply a pragmatic profitable approach to Health and Safety providing help to all business sectors. I have the ability to interpret and communicate legislative compliance ensuring H&S legislation is applied within organisations and applications are recorded within a dynamic measurable management system. I ensure measurement of compliance includes records of
a) Have documents been created that are suitable, sufficient and practicable in their implementation?
b) Have documents been suitably and sufficiently communicated?
c) Has a system of monitoring been applied and recorded?
d) Has there been a review of documents / systems and actions taken as identified within the monitoring process?
c) Has there been a completion of a bi-annual HSG65/OHSAS18001 gap analysis with a full report, recommendations and a development planning diary?
I believe communication is a major development method of safety culture. My 18yrs career as a H&S Manager and Consultant with exposure and application of H&S compliance within Construction organisations, Manufacturing industries, Retail outlets, Warehousing / Logistics and Training organisations, allows my pleasant people friendly approach to identify business needs and to help eradicate non-compliance behaviour, culture and support management in achieving professionally recognised HS&E standards and awards.

I have been associated with construction through differing roles, i.e. as a consultant/manager and trainer for in excess of 40yrs and grasp new developments enthusiastically. . Delegates and Managers alike have supported and taken away information from the associated projects where our interaction has been able to develope together.
