Overview
The knowledge and experience gained from a career spectrum working within various industries and supporting compliance understanding to senior and middle management, has enabled me to approach Health and Safety as a pro-active problem-solving supportive practitioner and consultant. This understanding, as an experienced operative, gives me the edge to succeed in applying a profitable, practical approach to Health and Safety. My ability to interpret and communicate legislative compliance has covered a tremendous amount of subjects, (Competence - employee gap analysis, Competency - company HSG65/OHSAS18001 gap analysis, Reports and recommendation applications, Management System creation and compliance, Health and Safety policy creation and application, H&S operational policy and procedures, Consultation compliance with committees and RoES) giving me the confidence and prowess to work with personnel at all levels of business status. Having been the main competent person within a profitable construction company for many years, fully understanding what and how resources can and have to be implemented, gives me the confidence to integrate my skills into development and maintenance of clients Health and Safety legislation compliance. With the skills to advise how to control risks and prevent civil and criminal actions I ultimately support clients in achieving greater confidence when dealing with their every day H&S needs. Believing in communication as a major development method of safety culture, my Construction, Manufacturing, Training, Consultancy knowledge and application skills, allows my pleasant people friendly approach to identify business compliance and non-compliance, allowing constructive advice to be presented moving business health and safety development and competency forward.

Within my career as a Health and Safety Manager and Trainer the scope of subjects and operational organisations I have been involved with has enabled my knowledge to continue to grow and support H&S teams I become associated with. I have been associated with construction through differing roles, i.e. as a consultant/manager and trainer for in excess of 40yrs and grasp new developments enthusiastically. . Delegates and Managers alike have supported and taken away information from the associated projects where our interaction has been able to develope together. I look forward to a future where I can continue to support organisational needs. |
