Overview
Over 25 years experience in the leisure, sport and education sectors with a broad range of competencies, including leisure management degree, NEBOSH and environmental health qualifications as well as accreditation to IOSH, IIRSM and CIMSPA professional bodies. Notably worked with the HSE Policy Unit, developing guidance available to download nationally as best practice and is an active member of IOSH, chairing the IPD peer review interview process, part of the assessment for Chartered Membership, as well as having authored for Croner loose-leaf publication.
Work with and supporting clients on all aspects of occupational safety and health and at all levels of the organisation, ranging from operational front-line staff through to Boards and executive committees and members. Leigh is Managing Director of Quality Leisure Management Ltd (QLM) a quality and health and safety consultancy specialising in sport, leisure and culture venues and operation. Leigh and QLM have worked with and support a number of professional bodies in relation to sport and leisure health and safety, developing people and or guidance and businesses. These include CIMSPA, RLSS UK and CIEH.
Over 10 years experience in accident investigation as expert witness in both civil and criminal litigation and fatal accident enquiries. Specialising in swimming pool, sport and leisure operations health and safety.
