Project example (with permission of Client): Worked with a railway component manufacturing company to produce and submit a successful Safety Case and application for Type Approval for a novel Points Machine. The Safety Case was produced in line with Yellow Book requirements, and involved: development of a good rapport with the Client to understand his product and requirements; liaison with HMRI Specialist Inspectors; production of comparative and quantitative risk assessments; specification and oversight of reliability testing; preparing the FMEA; and production of the documentation pack to be submitted for the Type Approval. The application was commended for quality by the HMRI Specialist Inspector and approval was granted on first submission |
