Overview
Practical, sensible, bespoke OSH Advice. Available for Covid-19 Risk Assessments. I work with company's and schools who either prefer to outsource this work or are too small to justify an employed safety or environmental manager. I can also provide flexible support to larger organisations to supplement the work of internal teams including mentoring OSH practitioners. Hosking Associates currently works with micro businesses through to FTSE250. My aim is to -
- Help create safe, sustainable, healthy workplaces people will want to work within and do business with
- Help make your organisation more resilient
- Protect your reputation
- Help organise documentation
- Save my clients time and effort
- Help clients reach a place of Health & Safety happiness so you feel comfortably in control.
Personally, I have a strong property & facilities management background but the sectors I now work within has expanded. I have a fantastic team of consultants in the field and office based support crew who keep us all on the straight and narrow! We are a modern agile working bunch used to supporting our customers to achieve their aims and objectives. I have worked in the city with large organisations, in the public sector and also with schools. I am also available to support and coach in-house practitioners.
During 2020 we have been supporting a range of organisations to work safely with Covid-19 controls in place. We have developed a robust and comprehensive risk assessment which we can tailor to your business. It is important to keep all your health & safety plates spinning right now so we can help you to prioritise too.
Being a small business owner I understand completely the need to manage risk without increasing costs or work. I know how hard it is to be a Director and your distractions! I have effectively worked with schools, especially new academies, commercial managing agents, contractors and office occupiers. We have packages to fit any budget and precise need so please call or email to discuss how I can help you.
I regularly write opinion articles and speak at events. More recently I have been speaking at webinars and using virtual media to continue the work I do to put people and their health first. Previous work can all be accessed via our website (under "press.") This includes an interview with SHP magazine where I was asked about my role and "how did I get here?" I believe this provides an insight into my personality and how I work. Everything from Hosking Associates is very much a team effort with a lead consultant who is a specialist in improving safety culture by supporting and coaching client internal teams so our involvement becomes less over time. They are backed up by a support crew to organise training and provide support.
My aim is to help everyone in your organisation make confident risk base choices so your need for my help reduces over time. We have a fantastic low cost entry level audit for both Environmental Compliance and Safety. We are working with a number of clients to ensure they have the right arrangements in place to meet challenges posed by Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015. Having passed numerous APS examinations I remain a certified consultant listed to offer guidance for this area.
I can also offer IOSH Managing Safely, IOSH Working Safely, IOSH Leading Safely & Latest IOSH Occupational Health & Wellness accreditated training. We are currently offering tutor led on line training relevant to the current crises
I am a keen volunteer for IOSH. Chair of Chiltern Branch and an IOSH Vice-President which places me close to world wide innovation in this arena. This is a role which humbles me every single day.
