Mark is a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner and Incorporated member of the Association for Project Safety, Mark is experienced in delivering competent Principal Designer services, health & safety and CDM advice to large construction projects of up to £200m value. Mark enjoys the challenge of leading a team whilst identifying and managing risks within complex environments, from concept design through to project handover stages.

Experienced in Principal Designer, CDM Advisor & CDM-Coordinator roles, Mark’s strengths lay in design risk management, reviewing safe systems of work, preparing bids and fee proposals, producing design stage reports, Pre-Construction Information, advising duty holders of CDM requirements, design risk management, specialist risk assessment undertaking, delivering CDM & general H&S Awareness training, developing H&S files and undertaking safety inspections & site audits.

With a background as an advisor in large multidisciplinary construction consultancy firms from early 2014, Mark also has a strong working knowledge of engineering, aviation, manufacturing, charities, and agriculture industries.

A previous role as an advisor to Principal Contractors has enabled him a firm understanding of delivering, developing & undertaking management systems (based upon the HSE’s HSG65), risk assessments, COSHH assessments, method statements, construction phase plans, site inductions, accident investigation, RIDDOR reporting, safety briefings & training courses.

Commercially astute, Mark is responsible for managing the CDM / H&S Team, preparing bids & tender returns, financial management and ensuring staff training & development needs are met.

With 8 years’ previous work experience as a Recruitment Manager, Mark is an effective communicator, adept at business development, conversing efficiently with persons at all levels & nationalities and has delivered training in various H&S awareness courses including CDM 2015.
