Mr Martin Maran
CMIOSH
Overview
Director of SafetyTech Consulting, a chartered health and safety consultancy.
I build compliance systems that hold up when someone tests them. The judgement comes first. Knowing which legal duty applies, what proves it, and where a system is quietly failing. Technology speeds the work. It does not replace the judgement.
Most compliance fails not because the law cannot be found, but because the evidence cannot. The register is a list nobody can prove. The policy has only ever had its date changed. The organisation chart names people who left years ago. The work is making those documents true again, and building systems that stay true after I have gone.
Thirty years across high consequence industries. Civil and commercial construction, power generation, manufacturing, quarries, waste, and professional services. Military background in Operations and Intelligence.
