My role in HSE on board the company's semi-subs and jack-ups involves offering HSE/RM advice and support to all personnel. Advising them and providing rig-based training on Human Factors, Legislation, Fire Fighting, Manual Handling, Noise at Work, Hand Arm Vibration, COSHH, Environmental Compliance, Behaviour Based Safety, Risk Assessments, Incident Investigation, Pro-active and Reactive Safety Management Systems. Competent person for HAVS, Noise at Work, COSHH & RPE. Conduct and manage Inductions, Audits, Inspections and HSE training material Daily site visits, to measure compliance with the company safety management system, HSE Policies, Procedures and Permit to Work Systems. Update and monitor the proactive and reactive safety systems used on-board. Lead and advise route cause analysis investigation, produce detailed investigation reports and create “Why Tree” flowcharts.

Responsible for inspection and periodic maintenance of safety equipment on board - SCBA, Fall Arresting Equipment, Fire Fighting and Fixed Systems, Lifeboats and PPE.

My role entails providing competent response to client, regulators, employees and vendors/suppliers questions/queries which is consistent with current Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQA) legislative and ISO standards requirements. Being the focal point for support and advice on ensuring that all employees understand the companies 

Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Assurance polices. Perform as deputy for HSEQA Manager in their absence. Monitor and maintain: COSHH implementation programs, Plan, conduct and report on HSEQA audits both internal and external to HSEQA Manager and inter company department Managers. Plan and develop the Quality and Environmental Systems to take into account all other functions such as customer requirements, liaison with authorities, offshore requirements, purchasing requirements, sub-contracting and training. Carry out 1 Day Kelvin TOPSET training. Responsible for the Offshore HSE Advisors for guidance. Assisting and providing Management and Employees with Environmental Technical support relating to waste management, Spills and legislative requirements and compliance. Experienced in the following: Safe Systems of Work application, HAZID studies, HIRA process, Bowtie Analysis, SIMOPS, Safety Critical Task Analysis, Emergency Response Plans and review of Bridging Documents,

Carrying out combined property & liability surveys  on medium to high-risk business premises on behalf of insurance underwriters.
