Working in Mace Operate, I provided operational QHSEW leadership, support, and expertise to the UK/Europe FM SLT and operations teams, to ensure accounts are managed safely and compliantly to meet client contract requirements and expectation, Mace standards, local regulations, and ISO requirements.  I supported 19 clients across 16 countries with four direct reports covering manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, laboratories, research, corporate offices, and the London Cable Car; Mace Operate is the global facilities management division of Mace.

Responsible for strategic leadership of H&S, Fire, Environmental, Security, and Food Safety issues in over 350 operational sites including 31 hospitals, 111 gyms with pools, 7 hospital sterile services units, lab services, nurseries, creche, and cafés and restaurants

Managed ISO standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, and ISO 45001

Risk champion and member of SLT covering risk management, mitigation, and BCP

Managed, mentored, and developed four H&S professionals directly and over 50 indirectly

Worked with legal and insurers on risk and claims mitigation and claims defensibility

Worked with Capital Projects on major construction and refurbishment projects

Worked with L&D to develop bespoke H&S training, reducing costs by over 30%

Managed a major fire mitigation project over 31 hospitals with a £2.6 million budget

Hospital divisional lead for H&S, fire safety, food safety, and environment/waste

Implemented and maintained OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 throughout Nuffield Health

Established Prime Authority agreements with a local authority, and a fire and rescue service

Developed and implemented a food safety management system in over 100 cafes, and designed the training programme to support the new systems
