STS Managements back ground is in general engineering and can offer a full health and safety role for small, medium and large companies. Experience in operating as principal contractor has been acquired by running projects in South America, North America, North Africa and Europe. Our aim is to help clients with their general and statutory requirements to comply with their health and safety duties. We offer health and safety training in all fields but primarily in Manual handling, abrasive wheels, ladders, working at height, COSHH, basic electrical awareness and upper limb repetitive strain risk assessments. We pride ourselves on helping and encouraging clients to unravel the mysteries and myths to achieve a high standard of health and safety in their organization. Through an associate company we can offer full NEBOSH general certifcate, NEBOSH environmental, NEBOSH fire and IOSH Managing safely courses.

Removal of petrol tank line at NISSAN including repairing all areas on completion and back filling pits with a 600mm concrete finish. Project duration 5 weeks Rolls Royce Barnoldswick. Installation of new machining centre line inclusive of concrete shuttering to form bases and grouting of machinery. Project duration 5 weeks. Rolls Royce Hillingdon Transfer of plant into Hillingdon site with disconnection of all services and reinstallation on completion. Project duration 9 months.
Principal contractor. Graphoprint Deeside. David Brown Huddersfield. Toyota Deeside. Toyota France Nestle Northwich. Nestle Glasgow Avon Cosmetics Northampton. All the above were machinery transfers which included full disconnection of all services, installation of all new electrical and pipework services. Constructing steel or concrete bases and final grouting. Crown Cork Argentina / Tunisia The full transfer of the bottling line and preparation of bases and concrete cutting to form holding down bolt pockets. Project duration 14 weeks
Sonae Liverpool The removal and transfer of the wood pulp furnace dryer which weighed 65tons and required an external brick wall removing /supporting and replacing to allow the furnace to be removed. Project duration 6 weeks

Group Health and Safety Manager / Director for Health and Safety | 03.2006 - 10.2010 | Construction Design and Management experience in construction projects InBev Manchester Closure of the Strangeways brewery Manchester. This involved removal of walls floors and reinstatement on completion. Project duration 14 weeks
Bae Systems Birtley
Removal and transfer of the case shop presses and associated equipment. Heaviest press was 98tons from Birtley to Washington. Removal of the Asbestos contaminated machinery and excavation of the furnace pits to expose any hidden asbestos materials. Cleaning of the pits and backfilling with a final cover of 150mm top cover of concrete Project duration 11 months UPM Deeside Complete removal of the paper pulp process line. This was the removal of 350tons of steel structural support work. The demolition of 8 number concrete drive motor bases each 3m x 3m x 4m all pipework and the placing of 550tons spent waste ballast from dust to 10mm onto the final area with rolling to form a level finish. Project duration 6 months

Managing Director and owner STS Health and Safety | 10.2010 - today | HEALTH AND SAFETY ADVISOR TGM Kanis GMBH Health and safety advisor to TGM Turbine on the BAM NUTTALL construction site at the e-on renewable energy plant Sheffield. The project was an £8 million installation of a steam turbine including all services. The advisor role was to work with BAM NUTTALL and all other LOT contractors for the complete installation from delivery to final acceptance. Project duration 16months E-ON Blackburn Meadows furnace refurbishment Health and Safety manager on nights supporting E-ON and a Finish company for 28 shifts.
