I have worked in the field of OHS continuously since qualification in 1987, firstly as an EHO in an enforcement role. I have been an OHS consultant/trainer for the past 21 years, since we established RedCat. I am also a member of the Chartered Management Institute (for 20 years now). OHS consultancy is half technical skill/knowledge, and half management skill. My CMI membership allows me to maintain my competence in this area. Our 3 USPs are; 1. from previous enforcement work, an intimate understanding of the law, and what compliance should look like in practice 2. as a qualified and experienced manager, an understanding of how to generate and implement solutions, and 3. being practical, sensible and proportionate in our approach. I am fully committed to my own personal development, meeting the CPD requirements of Chartered status in full (and then some), every year.
