Chief Executive Officer
I'm CEO for WG Safety & Environmental Ltd, a business I started in 2004. I've held senior roles with Wm Canning Ltd, RoSPA and EEF West Midlands. I've had the good fortune to spend over 34 years influencing behavioural safety, environmental protection & sustainable development and occupational hygiene in a wide variety of organisations. I've gained a deep experience of manufacturing, warehousing & distribution, chemicals, metals, recycling, food, pharmaceutical, transport and education cultures. I've worked with some outstanding colleagues and customers over the years, and I'm well-connected. I have competencies and a proven track record in occupational hygiene, safety and environmental management, and I have postgraduate diplomas in all three disciplines. I'm responsible for leading a team and for our own compliance, so I make sure we practice what we preach. I also recruit & develop people, I mentor them and I make them better at what we do. I have high standards and I don't entertain failure in any aspect of what I do.
I specialise in DSEAR assessments, fire risk assessments, air monitoring, COSHH assessments, legionella assessments, EMF measurement, legal updates, workplace & environmental noise assessments, HAV/WBV assessment, EHS auditing, LEV testing, ISO 45001/14001 systems, HSE training and running a business.
