I'm a safety professional who believes good safety is good business and experienced in developing safety cultures within organisations by engaging all parts of the business. I have delivered in house training on safety for directors and managers role, manual handling, introduction to safety, fire risk assessment. general risk assessment, DSE, COSHH and personal safety all to meet local needs.
I have worked in the business areas of logistics, warehousing, transportation, education, social care, maintenance, retail, fire safety and office administration. My roles in these organisations have included leading safety and environment management systems and providing direct support to front line operators and providing consultative support aimed at a specific issue. I enjoy working with companies of all sizes from Private and large public sector organisations to whom I have provide support on all aspects of the Safety Management System This goes from Policy development through production of risk assessment and method statements to reviewing.
I am experienced in accident investigation and can use route analysis techniques causes to get beyond the obvious and then work with organisations to ensure systems/cultures are modified to prevent re occurrence. I believe in life long learning and have continued to develop my knowledge throughout my career and hope to do so into the future.
