Roy has over thirty five (35) years’ experience in the management of Occupational and Corporate related risk. His broad experience is underpinned with a portfolio of Safety, Health, Environmental Health and Risk Management related academic and subject specific qualifications, recognised by International professional bodies. During his career Roy has undertaken competency training of Regulators/Enforcement Officers in a number of International jurisdictions including the UK.

Roy is listed on a number of International Approved Consultants registers including but not limited to the US, UAE and UK. Roy has provided consultancy support to a number of the World’s largest Corporate entities positioned across a broad range of industrial sectors. As a result, Roy’s reputation and standing as a personality in the International Safety, Health and Corporate Risk Management arena is recognised and respected. Over the years Clients have instructed Roy (CONSUS) to coach, lead and oversee improvement, ‘change’ and compliance programs across a broad spectrum of industries. Roy has coached organisations involved in iconic ‘Mega’ construction programs in SE Asia, Africa and Middle East, including the redevelopment of Makkah and Medina in Saudi Arabia and other major projects centred in the UAE. Roy has been a lead consultant to a number of the World’s most prestigious luxury hotel groups, leading entities in Oil, Gas and Process sector, Global/Regional Logistic and Distribution, including FMCG businesses, Defence Sector, Heavy Engineering, Manufacturing, Telecommunications, Energy, Mining, Maritime, Ports, Government Entities, Education Providers and supported teams in High Profile Event Planning. Although Roy has supported Clients at Boardroom level he also has a ‘hands on’ appreciation and understanding of the ‘actual’ risk exposures at the operational /workshop/site level.

Roy has held Examiner and Senior Lecturer appointments, supporting a number of examination bodies and University Degree programs at MSc Level. Roy has also undertaken training and seminars on an International basis delivering courses in Europe, Middle East, SE Asia and UK and has been a frequent speaker at International Safety, Risk Management seminar/congresses.

Roy is a Director of CONSUS Occupational Risk Management Limited (CORM), a newly formed UK consultancy located in Oswestry Shropshire. The consultancy is focused on providing cost effective professional services to all sizes of business units/entities focused in the West Midlands/Welsh Boarders and wider UK, bringing a wealth of experience to local regional businesses. Roy has undertaken expert witness support with respect to incident/accident investigation and has a clear understanding of the need to identify simplistic solutions to complex situations from experience gained in leading or participating in numerous investigations into the human and organisational costs of incidents/accidents within a wide range of industries.

Roy has been presented with a number of commendations and honours including the MBE, following involvement in disaster management and humanitarian relief while in military service with the British Army.
