Welcome,
My name is Ryan young and I am a highly motivated and skilled health and safety practitioner from a carpentry and joinery and management background. I have a honours degree in safety, health and environmental management and I am a chartered health and safety practitioner. I have a diverse range of knowledge, skills and experience having worked and assisted in both small and large sized organisations in both the public and private sectors. I have a wealth of over 30 years’ industry experience to assist in providing our clients with proportionate health and safety risk management solutions to assist them in their undertakings. I am a people’s person and have proven experience of engaging and assisting management teams in changing unsafe behaviour, reducing accidents and incidents and ensuring management systems are effective in practice at ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance.

Services
Environmental Management
We assist in developing or reviewing environmental management policies and procedures. We ensure enviromental impacts and aspects are identified and controlled to maintain health, safety and compliance.
We ensure there is an evironmental policy, organisation structure, arrangements and these are monitored and reviewed.
Audits
We assist by conducting health and safety audit inspections to determine how effective the health and safety management systems are in practice.
We engage with both management and staff making recommendations of corrective actions both verbally and in a written report format.
Construction Work
We assist in compliance with The Construction (Design and Management) Regulation 2015 (CDM 2015).
We assist all duty holders to ensure they fullfill their legal health and safety obligations.
General consultancy
We assist Clients meet their legal obligations under 7 (1) of The Management of Health and safety at Work Regulations 1999 to appoint one or more competent persons to assist them in their undertakings.
To assist management in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
Injury Reporting
We assist by developing and reviewing reporting procedures.
We assist by engaging with management and staff to ensure compliance with The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurances Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR)
Inspections
We assist by conducting health and safety inspections to identify good practices, unsafe acts and unsafe conditions to determine the effectiveness of the management systems in practice.
We engage with both management and staff making recommendations of corrective actions both verbally and in a written report format.
Investigations
We assist by conducting Accident, Incidents and Near Miss Investegations to ensure compliance with The Reporting of Injuries, Disease and Dangerous Occurences Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR).
We use this information
To establish what went wrong and determine the immediate, underlying and root causes to prevent a reccurrence by learning from mistakes. We communicate our findings both verbally and in a report format.
COSHH
We assist by ensuring all hazourdous substances have an individual risk assessement.
We assist by engaging with both management and staff to ensure compliance with the Control of Substances Hazourdous to Health Regulations 2002.
Display Screen Equipment (DSE)
We assist by ensuring work station assessments have been conducted for all relevant activities.
We assist by engaging with management and staff to ensure compliance with the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipement) Regulations1992.
Manual Handling
We assist by engaging with both management and staff in risk assessing and controlling the hazards from manual handling activities.
