Working for a national food packaging company, the main roles and responsibilities of the position involved advising senior management on health and safety legislation, policy implementation and striving to achieve a zero accident rate.  I was also responsible for managing employers liability claims, undertaking audits, identifying training requirements, designing courses and undertaking training, chairing the Health & Safety Committee Meetings and liaising with the HSE and the Fire Service.

Covering all aspects of Health, Safety and Training for a major food manufacturer, key areas of responsibility included the setting up of the Health, Safety & Training department, writing & implementing the health & safety policy, reporting & investigating accidents, undertaking risk assessments, conducting new starter inductions and identifying, organising and delivering training for employees.
