Overview
I offer a range of services related to fire and occupant safety including fire risk assessments, fire safety strategies, fire risk management plans, fire engineering analysis and fire investigation. Informed, cost-effective consultation, advice, guidance and CFD/Zone model analysis is offered for fire-engineered solutions (BS9999, BS7974, NFPA and Australasian codes) and for conventional designs (Approved Document B or similar) for a variety of occupancies - whether existing or in the planning stages. The range of services is complemented by bespoke fire safety and fire management training, Fire Risk Assessment/Fire Strategy preparation and representation with enforcing authorities.
I am a qualified and registered Fire Safety Engineer (IEng registration with the Engineering Council) with international experience and a Risk Specialist with a strong enforcement background I specialise in matters concerning occupant safety and management strategies. I am qualified as an H&S generalist and have extensive fire safety experience. I offer a UK-wide service and will travel further afield if required. I have successfully undertaken fire safety and fire strategy work in Eire and in northern Europe.

Various operational, fire safety, project and staff roles - North Wales Fire & Rescue Service | 05.1986 - 04.2011 | Specialist Legislative Fire Safety roles from Inspection Officer to Legislative Fire Safety Development Officer (paid as Group Manager grade) betwee 2001 to 2011. Various subordinate roles including operational respo nse officer and Level 3 incident (fatal and high value) fire investigator/ Team leader and budget holder/product and training specifier for GIS implementation project in North Wales Control 2000-2001. Fire Engineer | 11.2017 - 05.2019 | Regulatory fire engineering analysis and commercial work with the Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service's trading arm (3SFire). Clients included player in the commercial, defence, aeronautical and educational sectors. LEft this role because the contract ended.
