Overview
My particular expertise is in the field stress management, stress prevention and enhancing wellbeing. This includes health education, enhancing resilience and wellbeing, stress assessment/audits and training of managers and staff. I am a Professor of Practice at the Wales Academy for Professional Practice and Applied Research, Institute of Management and Health, University of Wales Trinity St David. I have visiting professorial posts at Aalborg University, Denmark, and undertake stress research. I am a Chartered Health & Safety Practitioner, Chartered Scientist and Chartered Psychologist. My PhD thesis was titled, Stress: Theoretical and Applied Perspectives. I have written/edited 60 books and over 300 articles/chapters on a range of topics including stress, health, resilience and wellbeing. I maintain my CPD by attending conferences, webinars, reading and writing articles and books.
