Overview
I am a registered Chartered Health and Safety Practitioner with over 35 years experience in all aspects of OHS management in both the private and public sector. I have a no nonsense approach to health, safety and training, offering practical help to businesses who have a genuine desire to implement and maintain good health and safety management.
My attitude to health and safety has always been to keep it simple, realistic and reasonable which in turn makes it easier to manage and more cost effective.
My professional qualifications and national registrations include: IOSH registered Chartered Health and Safety Practitioner Registered Health and Safety Consultant (OSHCR) N.C.F.E. Diploma in Business Excellence N.E.B.O.S.H. Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health British Safety Council Diploma in Safety Management.
I have maintained my professional registration with IOSH since 1997 by providing evidence of Continual Professional Development (CPD) on an annual basis.

I can also assist larger organisations by providing independent audits, general inspections or by supporting internal health & safety personnel.
I can assist and support you in health, safety and training with all or some of the following: Preparation of a health and safety policy and management system including arrangements for monitoring its effectiveness Design and delivery of in house health and safety training courses and presentations System audits to provide a full independent examination of your health and safety Premises and site health and safety inspections Completion and or assistance with CQC compliance, CHAS, Safe Contractor and Achilles registration and annual submissions Design of an employee health and safety handbook to promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the organization Creation of or assistance with assessments including risk, COSHH, manual handling and Display Screen Equipment. Liaison with insurance, enforcing authorities and third party auditors.
My training experience has included designing and delivering training courses specifically to the Clients requirementrs. I will work with you to identify: what training your business needs; your training priorities; and the most suitable methods and resources required to deliver the training in a cost effective manner.
Every training course will be planned, implemented and assessed as agreed with you. All the training that I deliver can be customised to your needs using your policies, photos and practical examples from your business.
