Overview
Chartered Health & Safety IOSH practitioner, and an accomplished fire safety professional, being a full member of the IFE.
I would like to introduce myself and my company, TDD Safety Matters Limited.
Please read my CV, but in short; I’ve worked over 20 years in safety, predominately in healthcare, which is a whole ecosystem of different industries and roles. I also worked in social housing, heading up compliance, advising on fire safety strategy, and training (IOSH Managing Safety as one example).
My specialisms include;
· ‘Competent Person’, MHSWR 1998 Reg. 7 & RRFSO 05 Provision. 18.
· general health and safety/fire safety strategy and policy writing
· fire safety of complex environments
· H & S risk assessment, Fire RA (≤ type 3) – incl. HTM std. (developed my own templates),
· Audit – Trained ISO 1800 Lead Auditor
· CDM - especially ensuring the client interests
- R.38 Writing/reviewing
o Fire safety snagging/ site inspections
- HHSRS Survey/Audit
· Asbestos Management
· Trainer – Level 3 qualified Teacher.
I look forward to listening to you, hearing about your company, and your safety concerns. I’ve a track record in steering companies away from potential litigation.
My ethos has always been to prioritise; if it works well, why touch it? However, even if some risks require investment, there is always minimal cost idea’s that can be done to proportionally reduce risk, giving the Responsible Person time to plan and implement a more permanent solution.
I’m interested in temporary/interim posts, retained contracts, risk assessments, independent audits.
Stay safe.
