I have over 10 years of experience in health and safety management, including consultancy services, during which I attained the prestigious status of Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH). Throughout my career, I have pursued various qualifications to support my professional development and expertise in health and safety. These include the International Diploma in Safety Engineering, the NEBOSH International General Certificate Level 3 (with Credit), the IFE Level 3 Certificate in Fire Science, Operations, Fire Safety, and Management, as well as training in Fire Safety Management and Fire Risk Assessment. Additionally, I hold an ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certificate and am an Associate Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers. I am also registered as an Interim Registrant in the Incorporated Engineer section of the Engineering Council.

My journey in health and safety management began shortly after completing my undergraduate studies, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer and Textile Engineering (Upper Honours). I started my career as a Health and Safety Officer in the manufacturing sector, where I was responsible for managing health and safety documentation, developing risk assessments, creating safe working procedures, and gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of health and safety management.

I spent three years working as a Health and Safety Engineer in the Oil and Gas industry in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In 2020, I transitioned into corporate health and safety management, taking on the role of CDM/Health and Safety Adviser for a consultancy based in Exeter, United Kingdom.

For the last 2+ years I have been working at South West Norse (previously NPS South West) as a CDM/Health and Safety Adviser. South West Norse are an occupational health and safety consultancy practice providing a huge number of CDM and Compliance Management Services. SWN Ltd's provided services include Total Facilities Management, Design Services, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, etc.  SWN Ltd are currently in a Joint Venture Partnership with Devon County Council and are owned by Norfolk Council. 

The team and I within South West Norse provide impartial and practical advice on a strategic level on health and safety in a wide range of settings including Local authority clients, Education, Office, Commercial and Manufacturing Operations within SME or large organisations.
