Overview
Health&Safety in Care is an independent Consultancy & Training service aimed at providing hands on help for care environments including Care Homes, Education, Medical professionals and Retailers. This is just the start!
I started my own company in 2006 when I left the world of corporate consultancy. After gaining a wealth of industry experience, I perceived a significant lack of health and safety training and consultancy organisations that put their customer’s needs first. Seeking my own path with ways to offer a flexible and customer focused service for specific industry sectors, I have been able to draw from that experience and knowledge and then add my own values and ways of working.
I envisioned HSinCare as a service that had no boundaries, no complicated paperwork and no inflated retainer fees - a company that provides hassle-free guidance through the minefield of health and safety legislation. I wanted training courses to be an enjoyable experience where students can get involved and be in control of their learning.
I understand the challenges that small business owners and managers face; trying to juggle efficiency, costs and quality, whilst ensuring that employees remain safe and healthy. I have a range of services for small to medium size enterprises, ranging from one-off jobs, to full outsourcing packages. All priced to suit your budget, but with no deviation from my core quality guarantee .
Basic packages include:
· Access to help on an unlimited number of occasions during normal office hours.
· Document templates i.e. Workplace Inspection forms, Staff Induction Forms, Contractor Appraisal Forms, Fire Log Books etc.
· Review of your Current H&S documents. Provide bespoke H&S Policies and Employee H&S Training Handbooks.
- Review risk assessments and provide assistance to prepare new risk assessments appropriate to your business.
- Assist to complete our assessment such as DSE, Manual Handling, CoSHH and Fire.
· Agreed amount of time to use on consultancy / training throughout the year, varied each year to adapt to your changing business needs.
· Quarterly newsletters and other news alerts.
· Designated “competent person” to meet health and safety legislation.
HSinCare covers the spectrum of Health and Safety, providing services relating specifically to the safety of staff, members of public and contractors that is sensitive to the needs of the working environment.
Being a small business owner I understand completely the need to manage risk without increasing costs or work and I know how hard it is to be a Director! I love working with Schools & Academies, Nurseries, Care Homes, Medical Professionals, Retailers and office occupiers. We have packages to fit any budget and precise need so please call or email to discuss how I can help you.

Services
Fees
My ethos is to deliver a quality service with prices agreed on a one-to-one basis depending on company needs. I have always believed that no company is the same and therefore it is very hard to justify a 'one-price-fits-all' rule. However, I do not have the same overheads that a large consultancy service has and therefore I can pass on my savings to you. Whether you choose to employ me direct or through a large consultancy, you will still recieve the same quality advice and service.
I have produced a basic pricing leaflet to provide you with an indication of my costing structure - though it is very important for me to add that I will provide each client with a specific quotation depending on their individual needs and the attached leaflet is provided for guidance only. I will answer any enquiries relating to pricing on an individual basis.
Audits
Auditing Management Systems agains HSG65 model - full audit of paperwork trail and also auditing management of staff, supervision or staff and training programmes. Gathering evidence to support maintenance schedules will be included. Audits can take between 3 hours to 8 hours depending on size of business and complexity of systems.
On completion of Audit, you will be supplied with a report to show your current compliance with the HSAWA etc. 1974 and also where you partly comply or fail. The report will provide you with an overall measure of compliance and an action list so that remedial planning can be put in to practice.
