Brent Hudson is a highly respected consultant with over 30 years of experience delivering practical, effective safety and compliance solutions across diverse sectors including manufacturing, engineering, defence, and specialist industries. As Technical Director of Machinery Safety & Compliance Services Ltd (MSCS), Brent leads with a deep understanding of PUWER, CE/UKCA marking, EMC, EMF and associated harmonised standards.
His background includes senior leadership in two Notified Bodies and service as a technical expert for the European Commission, where he supported EU machinery safety legislation and assisted accession states in aligning with European safety standards. Brent’s work focuses on making complex requirements accessible, delivering pragmatic solutions that enhance safety without creating unnecessary operational obstacles.
Brent is a Fellow of IIRSM and an award-winning innovator whose safety technologies have achieved global recognition. His contribution extends beyond consultancy to training, having developed and delivered IIRSM-approved machinery safety courses designed to build in-house competence and reduce dependency on external advisors.
