Mr Brett Edwards
FIIRSM CertIOSH DipNCRQ
Overview
I specialise in helping organisations understand the difference between compliance on paper and performance in practice.
As a Fellow of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (FIIRSM), I work with boards, executives and operational leaders to strengthen governance, assurance and risk management arrangements. My work focuses on identifying where information, reporting and assurance processes may create a false sense of confidence, allowing significant risks to remain hidden despite positive performance indicators.
I provide consultancy, audits, investigations, training and strategic advice across health and safety, organisational risk and regulatory compliance. Particular areas of interest include governance effectiveness, assurance systems, organisational learning, leadership and the relationship between compliance, culture and operational reality.
My aim is simple: to help organisations gain a clearer understanding of what is really happening within their operations so that decisions are based on evidence, insight and reality rather than assumption.
