I am an ex-HSE Inspector and I continue to carry out HSE style inspections and audits of facilities. I have been involved with many companies who have contacted me following an enforcement notice by a HSE Inspector or EHO, and can work with you to achieve necessary compliance. 

I work primarily in the construction, engineering, transport and warehouse, manufacturing and facilities management sectors, renewable energy (solar, biomass, hydro and methane) schools and healthcare, auditing companies for statutory and contractual compliance. I carry out audits to determine if the company is compliant with statutory requirements, helping them to remain compliant and avoid prosecution. This includes all aspects of facilities management of a building, including legionella, gas, electrical safety etc. 

My work with schools, colleges and academies in the West Midlands ensures that the academies achieve compliance and continue to retain it, in all aspects including facilities management and employee safety. 

I provide expert advice on all aspects of health and safety and assist companies with their health and safety management systems, tailoring the system to your company. I can write your policies and procedures, risk assessments and method statements, safe systems of work and achieve necessary accreditations such as CHAS. I can carry out and organise specialist for PUWER assessments.  If you require DSE assessments for your employees, I can do personal assessments with them, assessing their needs as an individual. I can complete manual handling assessments and provide you with simple solutions. 

I can provide in house training including risk assessment, CDM, health and safety awareness, accident investigation etc. 

I can provide other specialists as required to meet your business needs, including engineering safety and compliance and accreditation to British standards, 90001, 14001, 55001 and 45001.

I am happy to be appointed as your competent person, on the basis that I will work with you frequently throughout the year. Part of this service is to be available to take calls and answer concerns that crop up.
