With over 25 years of experience in SH&E and construction, I have developed extensive expertise in integrating safety, health, and environmental practices into the design, construction, and ongoing maintenance of a variety of projects.

From late 2009 to mid-2017, I worked in Qatar, leveraging my knowledge to manage SH&E for several high-profile mega projects, including the New Doha Port Project, the Local Roads & Drainage Programme, and the H&S Assurance Team for the Qatar 2022 World Cup. My work in Qatar involved operating in a challenging, high-expectation environment, ensuring that the highest SH&E standards were met across all project phases. This encompassed reviewing Safety in Design and implementing SH&E measures during procurement, enabling works, worker welfare, and the construction of project villages, roads, and major stadiums.

Additionally, I spent 9 months in Russia and the CIS region, leading the development of AECOM’s Integrated Management Systems (IMS) across the area. A key aspect of this role was ensuring the effective implementation of safety, health, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) processes for AECOM’s offices and projects throughout the region.

My broader experience includes developing SHEQ systems and manuals, conducting SHEQ inspections and audits, delivering SHEQ training, and offering expert advice to clients, consultants, and contractors.

In the summer of 2017, I returned to the UK to take on the role of Managing Director at The ‘Worksafe’ Partnership, where I focused on further developing the business into a leading provider of CDM and SHEQ services in both the UK and internationally. During this period, I continued to support stadium construction projects and other key developments.
