Ray has over 53 years' experience in the construction, electricity and water industries in the UK and has been a Health and Safety professional for the last 30 years. Ray has particular skills in auditing, inspections, risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work, training, project management, report writing and presentations, mentoring and coaching staff, devising health and safety management systems and Principal Designer duties. Throughout his career Ray has had responsibilities for leading a team of Health and Safety professionals on various environmental, electrical industrial and commercial projects ranging from £2million to £40million. Ray has been a Planning Supervisor/CDMC/RPD for Environment Agency projects since 2002. The projects range from Flood Alleviation schemes to Beach, River and MEICA. Ray became Resident CDMC/PD for EA South East Hub in 2010 until 2024.
